We're living in a time where even Christians don't want fast biblically...far too many don't want to give up non-fasting foods: they make exceptions for what they still want and the special occasions they want it. Even church leadership has made up new gray areas to accommodate what itching ears want to hear for fasting...so many exceptions to the point that we've lost the God-definition and incredible power of real BIBLICAL FASTING. This results in very little transformation and breakthrough. We've got to stop giving escape clauses and excuses for non-biblical fasting because people got hungry, have a special day coming up, felt uncomfortable, or lacked obedience to God.
After having thousands of people come to me over the last 25 years of ministry, I begin to give a common answer for WHATEVER people WERE going through, despite how they got in… and that answer was prayer and fasting!
Some were deeply grieving and others were suffering from present-day or childhood traumas. Many had battled strongholds and addictions of their own or those of loved ones, and no matter what they tried multiple times, they hadn’t found deliverance. Quite a few felt deep and prolonged heartbreak from divorce, infidelity, mental pain, or big hurt in loneliness. And there were multitudes who felt disconnected from God or distant from or in ignorance of His Voice. Some felt like they lost their cutting-edge anointing, desire to pray, or joy in serving.
No matter what they suffered from, how long they had gone through, or who caused their pain …my answer again and again was to press your way in faith to God. I realized that after several came back and spoke of reading a few scriptures, praying for 1 really long night or a few days, or going to church for a few Sundays…everybody’s definition or method of getting in the PRESS FOR GOD was different.

But the level of pain, that people were trying to get out of ...required the deepest plunge in God:
an abiding in His Presence
a next level in His Word
a complete season of release
a move to divine stillness and quietness
a new dimension of praise and worship
time just on one’s face, listening to The Voice of God
a real repentance from sin, with a real turnaround from "it, her/him, or them", with no intention to return
a climb in love and trust in God that shifts our very beings
staying there until His Peace, His Power, and His Purpose becomes the driving force for my soul
